TERMS AND CONDITIONS – INDANE GAS AGENCY
These Terms and Conditions govern the supply and use of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) provided by Indane (Indian Oil Corporation Limited) through its authorized distributor.
1. ELIGIBILITY
- LPG connections are issued only to eligible domestic or commercial consumers as per Government of India and IOCL guidelines.
- Customers must submit valid KYC documents, including identity and address proof.
2. USE OF LPG
- LPG supplied is strictly for the registered purpose only (Domestic or Commercial).
- Domestic LPG must not be used for commercial or industrial purposes.
- Misuse may result in disconnection, penalties, or legal action.
3. BOOKING AND DELIVERY
- LPG refills can be booked through IVRS, mobile app, website, or other authorized modes.
- Delivery will be made only to the registered address.
- The customer or an authorized person must be present at the time of delivery.
4. CYLINDER HANDLING AND SAFETY
- Customers must ensure safe installation and proper usage of LPG cylinders.
- Cylinders should be kept in a well-ventilated area, away from heat and open flames.
- In case of gas leakage, immediately close the regulator and contact the distributor or emergency services.
5. INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE
- The distributor reserves the right to inspect the LPG installation at the customer’s premises.
- Customers must cooperate during safety inspections.
- Unsafe installations may lead to temporary suspension of LPG supply.
6. PAYMENTS AND CHARGES
- LPG prices are fixed by IOCL / Government authorities and are subject to change.
- Customers must pay the exact amount mentioned on the official invoice.
- No extra charges beyond the official bill are permitted.
7. SUBSIDY (IF APPLICABLE)
- LPG subsidy is provided under the DBTL (PAHAL) scheme.
- The distributor is not responsible for delays or non-credit of subsidy.
8. TRANSFER, TERMINATION, AND SURRENDER
- LPG connections are non-transferable.
- Customers must inform the distributor in case of address change, death, or migration.
- Connections may be terminated due to false information, misuse, or safety violations.
9. LOSS OR DAMAGE
- Cylinders and regulators remain the property of Indian Oil Corporation Limited.
- Loss or damage due to customer negligence will be chargeable.
10. COMPLAINTS AND GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL
- Complaints can be raised with the Indane distributor, customer care, or IOCL grievance portal.
- The agency will make reasonable efforts to resolve complaints promptly.
11. FORCE MAJEURE
- The distributor shall not be liable for delays or failures caused by natural disasters, strikes, government orders, or unforeseen circumstances.
12. GOVERNING LAW
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of India.
- Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of local courts.
13. AMENDMENTS
- Indian Oil Corporation Limited or the authorized distributor reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions as per policy changes.
